Dickey Lee and Steve Duffy wrote “She Thinks I Still Care" and it was first recorded and released by George Jones in April 1962 and it spent 23 weeks on the charts with 6 weeks at Number 1. Anne Murray later recorded and released it as “He Thinks I Still Care” and it returned to Number 1 on the Country charts in 1974. Connie Francis’ version also in 1962 crossed over and went to Number 57 on the Pop (Hot) chart and to number 18 on the Easy Listening chart.
